Fundraising

As a charity, we welcome any fundraising ideas that parents/carers have. Our committee has raised lots of money for the preschool which all goes towards resources to help aid your child’s learning through play. If you would like to join our committee please ask a staff member for the date of their next meeting.

We are a registered Charity and rely heavily on community support. With lots of children to support and as a charity we find our resources deplete quickly. If you feel able, we would greatly appreciate you taking a look at our Pre-school Wishlist on amazon, items range from £2 upwards, and include much needed basics such as glitter and paint, to items we crave for small world play, books etc…

Items you order get sent straight to Preschool. Every share of the link increasing our reach and the possibility that someone can spare some pennies and send the Pre-school an item.
We feel very grateful to be part of such a wonderful community, and we really appreciate any help you can spare.
Thankyou,
The Little Birds family

We are very lucky to have been supported by the rotary club over the years. We were chosen as one of the previous chairpersons’, Linda Winter, main charity and received lots of support from her and the other rotary members. As the chairperson’s main charity we were lucky enough to be the beneficiary of the Swanage wishing well on the main seafront.

The rotary have continued to support Little Birds and the children have enjoyed Christmas parties with food, a magician and a visit from Santa who gave them each a present. The children really enjoy this and it makes the run up to Christmas extra special for them. The children have also benefited from an outing to Alice in wonderland where they all had a fantastic fun day out.

We have also been successful in being one of the charities that benefited from the Co-op local community fund. We were lucky to have been awarded funds that allowed us to have an office space in our previous location which now stand in the school grounds; an outdoor classroom that can be used by both pre-school and St Mary’s school children. We used the additional funds to purchase additional resources when we moved to the Northbrook road site. This included a dedicated sensory area to support children’s well being.

The rotary have continued to support our preschool and the children enjoyed a Christmas party with food, a magician and a visit from Santa who gave them each a present for the second year running. The children really enjoy this and it makes the run up to Christmas extra special for them.

Last year we were one of the charities that benefited from the Co-op local community fund. We were lucky to have been awarded funds enough to build a new office space and also to extend the preschool outdoor area (a project that is still in the pipeline).
