Parent/Carer Involvement

Research shows that children learn better when their parents/carers are involved.

In the past we have had a Stay and Play sessions, We hold a termly coffee morning for all parents and carers, even if your Children do not attend Little Birds, to promote parental community links. Parents/Carers are encouraged to be part of their Children’s learning journeys, and we regularly ask for information from home such as recent special events, talking points etc… we have termly parent evenings and we support your unique Child by planning in the moment using your Child’s current interests.  We use a online journal system to document wow moments in your Child’s development and you are able to view, comment and add your own observations to this so we can create a holistic home-preschool learning journal.

“Little Birds is such a warm and caring environment. The hygge-inspired, child led approach is perfect for our son and we have seen him flourish over the past year. Every day is different and packed with new and exciting things to explore and learn, whilst also providing a safe and supportive space to nurture imagination and creativity. Every child is celebrated and treasured for who they are. We couldn’t have asked for a better team to look after our son. We will be emotional wrecks when his time at Little Birds comes to an end. What a special, magical and unforgettable place. Thank you Jodie, Jude and Team.”

“Our experience has been exceptional. We are very lucky to have such a great preschool in such a small town.”

“No suggestions – I am beyond grateful for the Little Birds. My son would not be where he is today (developmentally, socially, confidence etc) if it were not for Little Birds. I was taken a back with how much I as a parent felt supported and I will be forever grateful. I am so sad my son is leaving this year that I joined the committee so I can be apart of the amazing work Little Birds are doing and help/support in any way I can.”
